The FCCA investigated (in Finnish) how often consumers use new payment methods and what their experiences are of new payment methods. According to the report, the most common new payment methods were contactless payment with a payment card and paying through payment services. The use of new payment methods was most common among 18–45-year-olds, people in a managerial position and senior professionals, and highly educated people. Consumers primarily appreciated the ease of use of the new payment methods. Purchases were rarely charged to a phone subscription invoice.
