Digitalisation and the related phenomena are connected in various ways to the FCCA’s activities. Electric communications services and digitalisation are one of the focal points of the Consumer Division. The FCCA also commented in its statements, hearings and stakeholder cooperation on the competition and consumer aspects of the new phenomena associated with the digital business environment, such as platforms and the collaborative economy.
The FCCA continued to develop electronic monitoring and inspection tools, which benefited both the Competition and Consumer Division. The development of investigation methods and tools will continue in 2018.
