Proposals for reforming the EU regulation on electronic communications

One of the main goals of reforming the regulation on electronic communication should be to ensure an equal regulatory environment for new and established services. In its statement (in Finnish), the FCCA supported the simplification of legislation on consumer protection and end-users rights, general regulation instead of sector-specific special regulation, and legislation based on the principles of commodity and technology neutrality. Furthermore, the legislative power of the Member States and the European Parliament should not be transferred to the Commission.
